As the oldest tennis club in Saratoga, we invite you to enjoy great tennis, endearing socials, and neighborhood fellowship.

We are small private neighborhood tennis club, owned and operated by its members.

Located in a quiet and serene residential area, we are minutes away from downtown Saratoga. Formed in 1930, we are the oldest tennis club in Saratoga servicing the community's passion for tennis.

Membership

Membership is limited to 100 individuals and or families. Membership requires a one-time initiation fee and is subject to annual club dues. Members own and operate the club and are welcomed to serve on the Board of Directors and the various committees.  The Club is a financially sound, and professionally managed.

Summary of Fees

One-time Initiation Fee

$2,000.00

Simple steps to membership:

  • Submit an on-line membership application.

  • Schedule a tour and interview with the Director of Tennis Operations and two Board members.

  • The Board will then review your application and consider their endorsement.

  • If accepted, membership onboarding will follow after payment of the one time initiation fee and annual club dues (pro-rated, if applicable).

  • You will be granted the Club’s access codes & your court reservation account will be established.

Clinics and Lessons

Head Tennis Pro: Scott Howard

​Scott comes from a well-known and respected Bay Area tennis family. His father Gil has won 13 national championships and was #1 in the world in the Men’s 55 & over division. His brother (Kevin) was ranked in the top 500 in the world (ATP), and his sister (Susan) played #1 at SFSU. ​

 

Scott is a USPTA Elite Level Pro. He was a former #1 player at SFSU and a USTA National Champion. He possesses 16 years of NCAA Collegiate Head Coaching experience and has mentored girls’ 12 & under and 16 & under teams at the Winter National Championships in Scottsdale, AZ. He has clinched victories in 70 USTA Northern California tournaments since 2004. Notably, he has achieved national rankings in the USTA top 15 on five separate occasions.

Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed clinics are offered during weekends. Private and semi-private lessons are offered all week long

Courts are available from 8am through dusk.  Hours vary depending on the time of year.  Members have access to the courts and clubhouse using a security code.

The courts are professionally cleaned once per week.  A handheld blower and sweeper are available to clear leaves and other debris between court cleanings.

Court reservations can be made up to seven days in advance through a user-friendly smart phone app or on-line via a PC. 

Private lessons and clinics for women, men and mixed doubles are available from an ATP rated pro.

Socials

Our Socials are an amazing part of the Club experience.  Our mission is to enable great tennis and super fun socials.  Recent events have included an End-of-Spring BBQ, Mid-Summer Wine Blind Tasting and an End-of-Summer Taco & Margarita Fiesta.  More fun events are in the planning.

USTA league play an exciting activity for Club members.  In 2024 we reached Sectionals with our 65+ Men’s 7.0 team.  We also fielded a 40+ Mixed Doubles 7.0 team and enjoyed fun and competitive season.
